EDITORIAL INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
Thank you for your interest in an editorial internship at Original Girl Magazine. The editor would like to know more about how you write and think. Please complete the following application and return it to us along with a self-addressed stamped postcard that you think best represents your personality. When you see this postcard in the mail, you will know we received your application and we’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible (which may not seem super duper fast to you, but is right away to us). If you have not already provided your resume and clips, please include these items with the questionnaire.

Please answer the following questionnaire on a separate Word document.
1) Why do you want to work as an intern for O.G. Magazine?
2) If you were suddenly put in charge of the magazine, what three aspects of the editorial would you change? Please use specific examples and describe how these changes would improve the magazine.
3) Identify three strengths of a recent issue. Explain.
4) What periodicals do you read? Why?
5) What was the last book you read? If you are a student: What’s the last book you read that wasn’t assigned?
6) What do you want to gain from your internship experience?
7) Reveal a secret of your hometown.
Writing Assignment:
Write a 200-word story that would work in our “In The Know” Section about your secret of you hometown that our readers should know about.
